Adult & Paediatric Physiotherapist (BSc, MPT, MAHCP Paediatric Physio)
Nick Leitch is a highly skilled and compassionate physiotherapist with an impressive 14 years of experience in the field. Specialising in both paediatric and adult care, he has dedicated his career to improving the lives of his clients through his expertise and personalised treatment approach.
Nick's passion for helping children led him to complete a Masters of Healthcare Practice in Paediatric Physiotherapy in 2018, further honing his skills in this specialised area. His commitment to excellence is evident in his achievement of being a titled member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists as an APA Paediatric Physiotherapist, a recognition of his exceptional knowledge and proficiency.
Aside from his professional accomplishments, Nick is a devoted family man with three beautiful daughters. Balancing his career and personal life, he finds joy in spending quality time with his loved ones. In his leisure time, he indulges in his hobbies, which include playing the piano, running, and cycling. These activities not only contribute to his physical well-being but also provide him with a creative outlet and a sense of fulfillment.
With a wealth of experience, a strong educational background, and a genuine love for his work, Nick Leitch continues to make a positive impact on the lives of both children and adults, helping them overcome physical challenges and achieve their full potential.
Physiotherapist (BExSc, MPT)
Marlee graduated from Griffith University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Physiotherapy.
Marlee is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and overcome injuries. She has experience in a diverse caseload, however her interests lie in treating musculoskeletal injuries, and she is a superstar Pilates teacher! Marlee is currently continuing her professional development in women’s health.
Outside of work Marlee enjoys spending time at the beach with her dog, doing Pilates and cycling.
Physiotherapist (BASc, MPT)
Flynn is our star new-grad, having just completed his Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Physiotherapy at Latrobe University. Flynn has a range of experience, completing placement at the Royal Children's Hospital, private practices and Cabrini Malvern in the neurological ward.
Flynn is born and bred in Kongwak, currently living on his family's farm. Flynn's kind & caring nature and willingness to expand his knowledge is why we are so excited to have him at Wonthaggi Allied Health Centre.
Accredited Practicing Dietitian
Sara qualified as a Dietitian in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics. Sara has recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management and has been awarded a scholarship to continue this study to Masters level.
Sara trained in the NHS in the UK, and across her 7 year career as a Dietitian so far has worked in a wide range of settings. These include a rotation of acute wards, oncology day units, hospice, residential aged care, specialist oncology clinics, psychiatric units, rehab, community outpatients and other general clinics as well as providing group education sessions, completing health promotion activities and corporate nutrition talks. Sara has worked in leadership within Dietetics and Allied Health in the public sector.
Sara’s main passion lies in oncology and palliative care, and she also enjoys the areas of nutrition for women's health, pregnancy, diabetes and other chronic disease management. Sara takes a person centered approach when it comes to supporting people to reach their food and nutrition related goals.
Sara loves to travel, and has visited over 40 countries worldwide. She spent 7 months travelling Australia in a small van and has a soft spot for our native wildlife.
Director | Registered Nurse (RN)
Candice is Wonthaggi Allied Health Centre's Director. Candice is a Registered Nurse with experience in Aged and Community Care. Candice has experience in managing aged care facilities, assisting aged care facilities Australia wide with preparing for accreditation, assisting with funding maximisation for aged care facilities Australia wide and recently providing 1:1 support to clients in the community with complex care needs. She won HESTAs “Emerging Leader award for 2015” for the aged care industry awards. Candice is passionate about education and training, ensuring all team members here at WAHC are given every opportunity to upskill. Education, professional development, self-reflection and personal growth are important in ensuring our team are providing the best care to their clients.
Candice manages and supports WAHC Support Workers, Carers and Nurses. She is responsible for managing supports for a range of WAHC clients, young and old. Candice is passionate about matching clients with the perfect support worker or carer.
In her spare time Candice enjoys spending time with her husband, Nick and three daughters, Phoebe, Lucy and Charlotte. She also is a little athlete, enjoying running, swimming and Pilates.
Counsellor | Support Worker
Lea has recently finished a Diploma in Counselling and has a background in Human Resources.
Lea works with a range of clients, young and old as a support worker and is now taking clients as a counsellor, working from the WAHC clinic, via telehealth and doing home/site visits.
In her spare time, Lea loves going on bike rides and spending time at the beach with her kids. She enjoys photography and is looking forward to being able to travel again.
Allied Health Assistance | Administration
Introducing Kasey, currently completing her studies in Allied Health Assistance, Kasey balances her studies with her role as an Allied Health Assistant and Administrative Officer.
She currently leads active ageing classes, hydrotherapy sessions, and provides personalized care to one-on-one clients. Driven by a passion for making a meaningful impact on individuals' well-being, Kasey is committed to building a rewarding career in the field of allied health.
When she's not at work or studying, she enjoys quality time spent with family and friends and keeping active.
Allied Health Assistance (AES)| Administration
Tanita completed her Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at ACU in 2020 and has recently finished her Graduate Certificate in Exercise Rehabilitation for Sport Injuries.
Tanita is currently studying Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology.
Tanita works as our Allied Health Assistant, taking a range of one-on-one clients, Active Ageing classes, hydrotherapy clients and home visits.
Outside of work, Tanita loves exercising, reading, going out for dinner and spending time with her Golden Retriever, Laz, her friends & family.

Nicole currently works at WAHC, not only as a support worker, but also completes our initial and ongoing support plans for our clients - she's the first person you'll meet when engaging in our support work services!
Nic has a background in restaurant management/consulting, owning & operating cafes and experience in disability & aged care, providing a hands on approach in all aspects of her role at WAHC.
In Nicole's spare time she loves to go to the beach, swimming, walking, attending weekly Pilates/Yoga classes and enjoying time with her family and friends.

Hayley began her working life in hospitality, completing her apprenticeship as a chef. Hayley then moved into cooking meals as a support worker and now works alongside many clients for WAHC.
In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her friends & family, walking her dogs, going out in nature, taking photos and painting.

Jack started at WAHC just prior to Christmas 2021 and has large client base who adore him.
Jack currently supports individuals in their late teens and early twenties to help them develop life skills such as building furniture, scheduling appointments, completing university and much more.
